Once you have read this information you will be in a great position to decide whether you want to contact us to have a meeting.
We are based in Brisbane however if you are interstate, we would love for you to visit us to experience time with an existing licensee, meet the management team, experience the specialty coffee training and roasting rooms. We will take care of your transfers and lunch is provided. If you do move forward an join the team, we will cover the cost of your flights! What have you got to lose?

What do I need to become an Xpresso Mobile Cafe licensee?
Passion, drive, energy and excellent customer service, leadership and communication skills. You also need to have a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard as an owner/manager and to follow the Xpresso guidelines and systems.
A background in retail/food/hospitality and previous business management experience is ideal but not essential. Of course, you also need to have access to the required funds. Ideally, you will need approx $25,000 in cash or property equity and for the rest, we can arrange equipment finance (t’s & c’s apply).
The entry cost for your new Xpresso Mobile Cafe business is $99,000 + GST. (Nationwide accept WA has an additional trucking fee at cost). Plus insurance and a once-off legal fee of $1980inc.

What about ongoing fees?
One of our greatest advantages as an Xpresso Mobile Cafe licensee is that there are no ongoing admin fees or % royalties. Our sheer size means we don’t need to! We don’t have shareholders to generate big fat profits to! We do have a weekly digital marketing fee of $69 + GST. That’s it! This fee enables Google to shine a light on your area & assists to build overall brand awareness. We do not charge for the leads & 200+ events we generate monthly. These are collected largely through Google/our website & 1300 number and distributed to licensees based on their area.
Our merchant facility carries a monthly fee of $19; this enables you to enjoy a full service Point of Sale with dynamic surcharging. (ie. customer pays a % merchant fee automatically added to their tap’n’go)
Will I need any other money to start?
Yes, you will need to budget for the legal fee of $1980 inc GST. Also potentially your own legal & accounting advice/software. We recommend an allowance of $5,000 for working capital. Insurance is approximately $2200 per annum paid in 3 payments.
Is everything purchased through Xpresso Mobile Café?
No, not everything. All specialty coffee products, including beans, syrups, powders, purees, teas, sugars and cups/lids are purchased through us. Milk & alternative milks are purchased through an agreed supplier. Non heated/individually wrapped food items are purchased through other suppliers of which you can choose!
Can I become a licensee with a business partner?
Xpresso Mobile Café encourages spouse & sibling licensee partnerships and will consider other partnership arrangements on an individual basis.
Can I own more than one Xpresso Mobile Café?
Possibly. We expect that our most successful licensee partners will be likely to own more than 1 mobile cafe in their large territory once they are ready and have the right person to run the 2nd! Applications to become a multi‐mobile cafe operator will be assessed on an individual basis. We supply the 2nd mobile cafe in the same territory at cost price + usual ongoing licensee fees.
How are areas assessed?
Xpresso Mobile Café carries out research on potential areas and receives advice prior to entering into licensee negotiations to ensure that licensee partners are privy to prime locations. Licensee partners are not obligated to accept proposed areas and should conduct their own area evaluations before signing the Licensee Agreement. Of course, they are also welcome to suggest potential areas for Xpresso Mobile Café to consider.
